WANTED.

Some of you may have heard, I had a piece stolen from me at Dragon Con. Not just some ordinary piece but a one of a kind Monicle that was to be in  featured in a Steampunk Exhibit at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford this October.

I'm will pay $200.00 for it's safe return on a "no questions asked" basis.
I will pay $500.00 if it leads to the arrest of the one who stole it.

Remember, it is a one of a kind piece. There will never be another. If you see someone wearing it they are definately connected to the theft and a felony.

I will also produce a custom piece for anyone who gets the theif arrested. Have you been looking at one of those arms thinking $1499.00 is beyond your reach? You Get me this person and it's yours.

Sincerely,
Thomas Willeford

Some people just think they are entitled to things.
I so hope you get that back.
It is lovely and does deserve to be exhibited!

I posted this information on the Alternate History Track website.

Original way to track down a culprit..seems to me that the object has no value whatsoever to whoever stole it as they cannot wear it or sell it as it would be recognised. Clever, I hope you get results.

Holy crap I just heard about this from Michael Redturtle [info]lucv_cate and I am horrified. What can we do to help? I know how incredibly proud you were about that piece and the honor about to be bestowed on it.

I have taken the liberty of cross posting to Atlanta, Dark Atlanta, DragonCon and Frolicon LJs.

So, if someone tries to sell this piece or wear it to any local cons, they are likely going to get caught. I directed them here for more specifics.

Crossposted.

Once all of the possible crossover communities are blanketed - I'd suggest SCA, Rennie, gamer, anime, goth, steampunk, and possibly furry and filk as well - $200 will probably sound pretty good to the ass who stole it in the first place, since it won't be sellable nor wearable anywhere.
